Plot Application

Using this form you can sign up for a plot at the Heurich Park Community Garden for the 2025-2026 Season.

Initial garden plot assignments will follow a weighted lottery with weight given to residents without personal yard space. After the garden's inital year, plots will be waitlisted, assigned chronologically, based on the submission date of applications. Click here to see the garden's layout.

Please note you must be a resident of the City of Hyattsville to be a member of the Community Garden.

Garden Rules and By-Laws

The Heurich Park Community Garden is within the jurisdiction of the City of Hyattsville and the
Maryland‐National Capital Park and Planning Commission. As such, all rules governing this
the garden will conform to existing rules of park use.

Please take a look at the garden layout to get a sense of which plots are ideal for you. We recommend considering 3 or more in case your first pick is not available. Plots with A before their number are accessible raised beds.

Choice of plots will be determined by the order in which we receive applications. You will be notified by email of the final plot assignments which will be determined at our Spring Meeting.*

*This only applies for the garden's first year. After the initial year, any plot that becomes available will be assigned to the first person on the waitlist. If multiple become available, they will have first pick from what's available.
